The have signed a new backup quarterback for Jordan Love. According to , the Packers are signing veteran signal-caller Tyrod Taylor. The length and financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The problem with those two is neither one could make most rosters in the NFL, let alone be a reliable backup for Love. Ridder has been well-traveled since being a third-round pick in 2022 and has failed at every stop. Meanwhile, McCord has never played an NFL snap. Taylor has more experience in his pinky finger than McCord and Ridder have in their bodies combined. The veteran signal-caller has proven time and time again he can keep a team afloat if a starter gets hurt, and that's exactly what a playoff-contending team like Green Bay needed.
