The Kings, after incredible public support, welcomed back the Harmonica Cla s from the Koreatown Senior and Community Center for a second performance of The American National Anthem before Game 2 of their first-round Stanley Cup playoff series against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday night. Seemingly everyone was a fan of the terrific rendition, with some fans left shocked and others just amazed at what they had heard. The harmonica players became a viral sensation two days earlier after performing in game one and, after the harmonica cla s went nuclear, they returned for the second game. They wore traditional Korean outfits for game one and then donned Kings jerseys for Wednesdays game. The Kings decided to bring back the performers "by popular demand," according to the arena announcer for Game 2 on Wednesday night. Fans soon took to social media to voice their approval. If the @LAKings don't get the Korean Harmonica ladies to perform at every single playoff home game moving forward, anyone else who does perform the national anthem should be booed out of the arena, one formerly known as Twitter user wrote. I have been a LA Kings fan to my core my entire life. This is simply one of the coolest versions of the anthem and the only time I have ever heard anyone in that arena sing the anthem out loud, another user said. Its unclear what the harmonica group's next steps are, but their first two profe sional games were a rousing succe s. Paul Henderson Jersey |
