Connor McDavid continues to prove he's one of the greatest hockey players to ever skate on the ice. The latest feat: McDavid has 100 points in a season, again. He's the first player in the NHL to get to 100 points this campaign, and it's the ninth 100-point season of his career. MORE: There are only two other players who have had at least nine 100-point seasons. Wayne Gretzky had 15 of them. Mario Lemieux had 10 of them. McDavid Russ Courtnall Jersey had been tied with Marcel Dionne, who had eight such seasons. If not for the COVID-shortened 2019-20 season, when McDavid ended with 97 points, he might already be tied with Super Mario. McDavid has an NHL-leading 65 a sists this season. He also has 35 goals, just off the pace of Nathan MacKinnon's 40. MORE: The Oilers superstar just turned 29 years old in January. At this rate, he's got a pretty strong chance to break Gretzky's record for 100-point seasons. He'll have to stay healthy, but if he does that, it's certainly within reach. The Oilers certainly are grateful they ended up with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2015 NHL Draft. With it, they got the best current hockey player on the planet. More NHL news: Jake Debrusk Jersey |
